SURGERY!!!

Jonas had his surgery yesterday and it went AMAZINGLY!!!!! I was so happy all went to so well. They got a full tissue donor area from the right side of his groin and in all honesty that looks worse than his shoulder! Thanks so much everyone for your prayers they were defiantly heard and answered!

Now for as well as the surgery went,when Jonas came out of his anaesthesia, let's just say it looked like a scene from the exorcist. As soon as he "came through" he started clawing at himself trying to rip out his IV and his cast. He was literally doing flips all over the bed, hitting scratching and throwing whatever he could at anybody who came within a certain distance of him. It was seriously the hardest and saddest thing to see. The Doctor and nurses were just in shock. He is the sweetest and calmest little guy so it was really weird for me to see. The problem with the whole thing is that he has to be as absolutely still as he can for 7 days. They wont even let him out of bed. If he moves his skin graft could fail. The Doctor said he should stop within an hour and asked Scott and I to basically hold him down until then. Well it just got worse and Jonas is extremely claustrophobic so I really don't blame him, So they now have him on an IV drip of morphine and all other sorts of sedatives for the next 7 days. I hate seeing him on all these drugs but it is kind of funny how "happy" he is!
