Let's just say the "phase" of the terrible two has been anything but easy on me. I wish that when kids turned three that this "phase" would magically go away because then I would only have 16 more days left.
I guess I could describe Jonas as a child who has a very head strong personality. I think I could go on for hours telling stories of things he has done and said that just make me want to pull my hair out. Well something happened yesterday that I just couldn't help but share......
Jonas does this thing where he walks into a room locks the door and shuts its behind him. It's just one of those little things that drive me crazy. I will hear a little devious laugh and he will say oh oh I'm in trouble and run away laughing and low and behold he has done it again, it has been this little battle between the two of us. So yesterday I went out to get the mail and when I got about five feet from the door Jonas yells ha ha mom I did it again and slams the door shut. So I ran to the door and it was locked. I am now pounding on the door saying Jonas open the door and I look over and he is at the window laughing his head off. To say the least I was not very happy. It took me 45 minutes to break into the house, I'm sure all the neighbors where looking out there windows laughing at me. Oh the joys of little boys!
Needless to say no matter what he does to push my buttons he is always so quick to give me a hug and tell me how much he loves me. I have been so baby crazy lately and just really missing the time when Jonas was still a baby but I would't trade this time in his life for anything. Nothing is better than to have your little one crawl in you lap and tell you they love you. Last night after Jonas' bath he was all wrapped up in his towel and he just wanted to cuddle before he got dressed. It didn't take more than two minutes before he was sound asleep in my arms. It's times like those that really make you appreciate your little ones. They just grow so fast that you have to cherish every little momment you get with them
