The evening before Christmas Scott got up on the roof while I was putting Jonas to bed and hung a red flashing light outside of Jonas' room. Jonas was so excited to see Rudolf outside his bedroom window. Scott did this with the intent of creating a special memory for Jonas but also to push going to bed. we figured if he knew Santa was near he would try to sleep so he wouldn't pass up our house. Yeah well that didn't work. He sat looking out his window forever waiting for the return of Rudolf. It was really pretty cute!
On Christmas morning Jonas woke up around 8:00 and we opened presents. We relaxed all morning and played with Jonas' toys. Around 4:00 we headed to Scott's parents to open more presents and to have Christmas dinner. We had a lot of fun. It is really so nice to have Scott's family near. They are all such amazing people and so much fun to be around. Now I just need my parents here and we would be one lucky family!
That evening we got quite the snow storm and had a little trouble getting home, but boy was it beautiful!
Here are a few pictures from our day!
Jonas waiting on the stairs to see his presents!
Presents are so much fun to open. Jonas loved his presents. Yet I think he would have loved at least 20 more boxes under the tree, even if they were all empty he just thought it was so fun to rip off the paper
This is Jonas new bear. We got it for him yet Santa got credit for it as well as everything else under the tree did!
Opening more presents at Grandma and grandpa Bradleys' house
Trying out the new snow clothes in all the snow we got!
Here is a video of Jonas walking in to see his presents! Santa got him a trampoline. It is quite cool! He was so shocked that he wouldn't even walk in the room right away!
I like this video of Jonas opening presents because initially you can really sense some disappointment. It's hard to hear but in the beginning he says this is for a girl because he sees a picture of a girl on the package.
