Some of my fondest memories growing up take place in the fall. When I was young my family lived in a house in Marinette Wisconsin that had some of the grandest trees one could ever see. When fall hit we would have the most beautiful display of colors right in our yard. I remember spending many a days raking leaves with my family. Joe and I used to rake these massive piles of leaves with our Mom while my Dad was still at work and we would barry our selves in them so we could jump out and scare him when he got home.
So last weekend we were on our way to the gym when Scott's Dad called to say that he got a burn permit and that he was going to burn some piles of twigs and that if we wanted to come and watch to come right over. So we figured we would go watch the fire and head to the gym. Well Scott and Michael ended up making this massive pile of branches. Then Tammy found some trees that needed to be trimmed and some that needed to be cut down so it turned into a massive project and an even bigger pile to burn. It was really quite fun. The fire was a little out of control in the beginning so they had to watch it really close.
So while we were there Jonas and I helped rake some leaves. It was the most gorgeous fall day one could ask for. Jonas had so much fun playing in the leaves. He even enjoyed playing in the bags for the leaves. He kept asking if we could take all the leaves home with us and put them in our back yard. It was really quite an enjoyable Saturday morning I wish that every weekend could be that fun... nice fall weather and playing in the leaves!
