Over the last few days I have been going through some pictures taken over the last year or two. Now with that said I have been well aware of how much Jonas has been growing but to actually look at the pictures really quite shocked me. Below is a picture taken of Jonas exactly a year ago....
In this picture Jonas weighed around 22 pounds and was wearing a size 2t. In April when Jonas had surgery he was pushing the scale at around 30 pounds. Here is a picture of Jonas in April of this year....
Two days ago I weighed Jonas and he weighed 44 pounds. Yup that's right he has doubled in size in a years time! So knowing that a storm was coming in this weekend and that colder weather is quickly approaching I decided to take note of what clothes he has for the fall and winter. Of coarse having grown so much in the last year NOTHING from last year was salvageable. So yesterday we went on a shopping trip and bought him 4 long sleeved shirts and two pairs of pants. Then I called my mom to tell her of all this growth and the lack of clothes and how I went to buy him new clothes and of coarse I wanted to brag about the good deals I got! So my mom being an amazing Grandma, headed right out and bought him about 9 shirts (ha ha thanks Jenny:)) a sweatshirt a few pairs of pants as well as some other stuff. Thanks so much Mom!!!! Now I'm thinking I should have called my mom first. Grandma's are great! They sure do know how to spoil there grand kids especially when they are there only one! So here is a picture of Jonas this morning in one of his new outfits!
Anyway.... my point of this whole post was guess what size I had to get him...... a size 5 in shirts and a size 4 not a 4t but a 4 in the big boy section. Yeah I was a little depressed yesterday having to officially leave the toddler section. So I told Jonas that I was really sad that he was getting so big so fast and that I wanted him to stay my little boy. So he says in a very serious voice.... Sorry mom I can only grow up not grow down. Oh the wisdom of children is far beyond my years.

So cute! I seriously cannot believe how big he has gotten! Ali is barely pushing 30 lbs...and that's on a good day! However, she's so flippin tall that I have to buy her bigger sized clothes so that she won't look like a geek wearing a pair of floods! We had to suck it up this year and try to buy Ali some clothes because we are all out of donations from others and she definitely doesn't fit into last year's. It kinda sucks...thank heavens for grandparents! Oh, and by the way, you may want to edit the little misspelling when you were talking about how your mom bought him 9 "shirts." I laughed when I read it!
How do you get him to grow so fast? What do you feed him? I need some pointers. Sydney (6) is barely 35 lbs and Char(3)is sitting at 32.

Wow, he really is so dang cute! He has really grown so much!!! He is going to pass Hailey up by tomorrow! LOL Just so you know, Hailey informed me tonight that Jonas is not her cousin anymore, he is her bestest friend! And if his house gets broken he is going to come and live with us forever!!! Just so you know, you would totally be welcome.
Jonas is turning into a little boy...I'm sad for you! He sure is handsome though! I love his "grow up" comment...classic!
