About a week and a half ago my brother Joe moved down from Boise to live with us. He is going to move with us to Logan and stay with us for a few months while he takes a firefighters course in Logan. Then he plans to go down to Utah valley to take more classes and to start work. Jonas has loved him being here he absolutely adores him!
I Have been slowly packing over the last few weeks and it is really getting down to crunch time. I think the most stressful thing about this move is that we still hadn't found a place to live. So last Thursday Joe Jonas and I headed down to Logan so I could look for housing and Joe could register for school and find a job. We spent all Thursday looking and I finally found a place to live. It's not ideal as far as a yard for Jonas but there is a park a block away so that definitely makes up for it. The most stressful part of that day is when Joe went to register for his class. It said on the Internet that his class started at the end of September but when he went in he found out the class had started two days ago. And they wouldn't let him in. So I told him to call the director anyway. And we called Scott's brother in Law Wes who is very a well know and very respected firefighter in cache valley. Wes called the Director and pulled some strings and to make a long story short got Joe into the class. The director said he was going to say no but because of Wes he got in. So THANKS SO MUCH WES!!!! So anyway... Joe had to start class that night from 4-10pm. Seeing as how Joe started school way earlier than intended he is staying with Scott's parents until we get there. So Thanks so much Scott and Tammy!
Right after Joe was done with his class we headed down to American Fork. My Dad had got in that night from Wisconsin for a job interview and Joe's girlfriend was also coming in from California to see Joe. So we planned on staying at my grandparents from Thursday evening until Monday morning! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for putting up with us!
It was really nice to see my Dad. We hadn't seen him in a year. It really makes me so sad that my parents are so far away they miss out on so much in watching Jonas grow. Hopefully my Dad's interview went well and they will be out here sooner rather than later! We had a lot of fun in American Fork. We went for a picnic up the canyon, swimming at the rec center across the street from my grandparents, rock climbing and all other sorts of fun! It was nice to see many of my aunts, uncles and cousins. Jonas had so much fun he didn't want to leave. So here are a few more pictures from the weekend!
Well now I am off to do some more packing. Moving is such a pain!
