Well we were a little slow on the go with the potty training with Jonas seeing as how he was in a burn suit for so long. Once the burn suit came off we had a few failed attempts but that was mainly because I wasn't staying on top of it. So for the last few weeks I have really hit the training hard, I had just had enough of changing stinky diapers as well as having to buy them.

Jonas did really good with peeing in the "big boy potty" but he REFUSED to poo in the potty. I was under the impression that if I let him have an 'accident' in his big boy panties that he wouldn't want it to happen again. Well I was wrong....I thought I had enough of changing stinky diapers.... well I am here to tell you that changing stinky panties is SOOOO much worse. So after a three weeks of that not working I decided to take a different approach. The end goal was always to get a bike when Jonas finished potty training so I thought I would hold the bait right in front of him. So on Saturday Scott and I took Jonas to the store to show him what a hot wheels bike was. They had a floor model out so we let him ride it around the store for a bit and then told him we had to go. Just as I had planned on he told me how much he would really like to have a bike like that at home. So I said oh I sure would like you to have a bike like that as well and I will get you one as soon as you go poo in the big boy potty. So Jonas started to panic wanting to get home as fast as he could so he could go poo in the potty. And sure enough as soon as we got home he went in the potty. We decided we had better reward him right away so Scott took him right back to the store to get his new bike. He is so excited and we haven't had any 'accidents' since. I tell you potty training is not to fun but when you are on the other side of it is feels great!!!

Jonas the proud owner of a new bike!

I am one very proud Mommy!

Last week we went to the temple open house here in Twin Falls. When we got home I kicked off my heels and started to get Jonas ready for bed. He still had his church shirt on when I went to grab some PJ's and when I came back he was walking around in my heels. It was kind of funny to watch yet also a tad bit disturbing.
