Sacramento

To be completely honest our trip to Sacramento wasn't all miserable. We stayed with Scott's Aunt Amy and her husband Chris who have three younger kids Ashley Dillon and Summer. Their kids were adorable and Jonas really enjoyed playing with them. Summer is 6 months younger than Jonas and the two of them got along so well and had so much fun together. They life in a beautiful home in a gated community so it was quite a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I had never met Scott's Aunt Amy before and I truly enjoyed getting to know her and her beautiful family.

This is Scott's cousin Summer. She is such a little cutie! Jonas and Summer were just two peas in a pod! He still talks about her everyday and says how he misses his friend summer.
One night as we watched American Idol Jonas ran up stairs to grab this guitar to impress us all with his singing and playing capabilities.

Jonas and the other kids had so much fun playing with Tammy (Scott's mom) and Emily. The two of them are so amazing with kids and are truly young at heart. I think that Jonas truly enjoyed having them both there to have someone other than just his mom to comfort him.

Scott's Sister Emily was so much help! All the kids just love to play with her. I wish I had her energy!

The weather was truly beautiful, it was so nice just to be able to sit outside and enjoy the weather.

Two days after Jonas' surgery Jonas, Tammy, Emily and I went to a city nearby called Auburn. We were trying to keep Jonas off his feet as much as possible to give his swelling leg a rest. So we figured putting him in a stroller and touring the town was a great idea. The city was a historic mining town and was just absolutely beautiful. They had a bunch of old shops and restaurants that were so fun to look in. They also had a little area with a statue of a mining man and some old mining equipment. Jonas had tons of fun thinking the old mining cars were train cars.

Jonas in an old mining bucket, he thought this was so cool it took quite a while to get him to come out.

All in all despite the reason we were actually in Sacramento we had quite an enjoyable time. I am so thankful to Amy and her family for putting us up in her beautiful home and especially for Tammy and Emily for coming with me and being so much help with Jonas. Thanks everyone!!!
