A Crazy Two Weeks!

Well the last two weeks have been anything but calm and relaxing but I have to say tons of fun! On the 22ND it was Jonas' 3rd birthday and the following day was of coarse Easter so we decided to go down to Logan to spend the weekend with Scott's family so Jonas' could also play with his cousins. My sister Chelsie also came with us which was so nice because Jonas just adores my sisters. For Jonas' birthday we went to a fire station that his Uncle Wes used to work at and the kids got to take a tour and sit in all the firetrucks. For a little boy who's obsession in life is cars, firetrucks, and trains this was like a dream come true. Jonas had an blast he was definitely in 7Th heaven. After the Fire station we went back to Scott's parents and had a little birthday party. Jonas got tons of fun stuff. I think he was really overwhelmed by all the excitement but all in all had a great third birthday! We were staying at Scott's sister Heidi's house so the next morning Jonas was able to find his Easter basket with all of his cousins which was really nice. Easter morning seems so much more exciting the more kids that are around! After a exciting morning of eating tons of candy and playing with more toys (let me tell you having a birthday and Easter all within two days is hard on a parents pocketbook)we all got ready for church and all went back to Scott's parents so we could all go to church together. The three pictures of Jonas' above are of him in the Easter/Birthday outfit that I got him. I was so excited about it because I thought he looked so dang cute in it. Chelsie took a lot of really cute pictures of him in it, if I even started putting more of my favorite pictured of him in this outfit this post would have 30 more pictures in it.After church we all went for a really long and fun hike up in Logan canyon. Halfway through the hike Chelsie put Jonas up on her shoulders and I looked back five minutes later and he had fallen asleep on her shoulders. The poor little guy was so worn out from the whole weekend he just couldn't stay awake anymore. We really had a great weekend in Logan! I wouldn't have wanted to spend Jonas' birthday or Easter in any other way.Well we headed back to Twin Falls Monday afternoon and Chelsie came back with us until Tuesday night. That's when things got interesting for me. The whole weekend I was starting to get sick but on Tuesday night it all hit me like a ton of bricks. I was so sick that night. I was running a fever had cold sweats and probably vomited three times within the night. The same night my mom flew in from Wisconsin and was in Boise. I thought my brother was going to get her but to my shock the next morning he hadn't gotten her. it made me feel SOOOO bad so I drove up to Boise with Jonas as fast as I could to pick up my mom. I was SOOOO excited to see her. We hadn't seen my mom since August and it was just so nice to see her again. So we were able to spend a couple of days with my mom which was really nice but unfortunately for her we were sick so it probably wasn't that fun for her.
On Friday We drove to Pocatello picked up Chelsie and then dropped off Scott in Logan and then my Mom, Chelsie, Jonas and I all drove to American Fork to spend the night at my grandparents. The next day we were able to visit a lot of family. We were really excited to see my Uncle Dan who just over a week ago was diagnosed with brain cancer and had just underwent surgery. We really pray that all will go well for him and his family. That Saturday we drove back up to Logan to get Scott and then drove back to Twin Falls. My Mom and Chelsie both left on Sunday night to go home. We are so sad my mo had to leave and that we didn't have time to do more with her. Hopefully we will see her and my dad again soon.

Needless to say the last two weeks have been crazy but we really appreciate all of our family and were so happy and blessed to have been able to spend time with everyone we were able to see.
