We have been watching the weather here rather closely so that we can go out and play as much as possible. Today Jonas and I walked to a park a few miles down the road. The weather was apparently around 48 degrees but it sure didn't feel that way. By the time we finally got to the park Jonas was so cold from sitting in his stroller that it took him quite some time to even want to play. Once he started to play he had a great time though! I am just getting so stir crazy for warmer weather!

About a week ago I noticed that Jonas needed a new pair of shoes so we went out and got him a really nice pair of shoes and let me tell you for as fast as his feet are growing right now shoes just seem so expensive. Anyway.... two days after I bought his shoes he found the rain boots I bought him a couple of months ago for this spring. Now he wont take them off for anything, he WILL NOT wear the new shoes I just bought him because he likes these boots so much. I try and try and he just screams until I finally give in and let him put his boots on. He even wore then to church last Sunday. Anyway above you can see the infamous boots.

Jonas' third birthday is fast approaching and I have spent the last few months looking for a cute outfit to take his 3 year old pictures in. Seeing as how Easter is the day after his birthday I found a really adorable suit for both occasions. I got it in the mail on Monday and I was just so excited to see it on him. It was really quite hard to get him to put it one because he had just gotten up from a nap and was not in a good mood. I couldn't get him to put it all on at once but you'll get the idea of what it looks like from the two pictures below. The only thing really missing is the suspenders.

In trying to get Jonas to put on his outfit I had a really funny confrontation with him. We were talking about the birthday party he wants and I was using it as leverage to try to get him to put on his clothes. He just refused to put them on. Finally he said fine mom I don't want a birthday. So I said ok that's fine I'll just call your Dad and let him know that you don't want a birthday or any presents. Then he looked at me with a very serious face and said ok then I will call Dad and tell him that mama doesn't get any presents either. I couldn't help but bursting in to laughter and so did he. In his laughing fit he tooted and then started laughing even harder and then said oh mama I just burped in my bum. between the two comments I just couldn't stop laughing. Man do I wish I had that on video camera.
