Freedom!!!

Jonas has been sleeping in his "Big Boy" bed for quite some time now and really is quite proud of himself for it. I thought that naps would be an issue seeing as how he is now able to get out of his bed, yet to my surprize he still takes a nap everyday and without complaints. Every night I tuck him in, we read one book, say our prayers and then he makes me sing him the wheels on the bus, twinkle twinkle little star and I am a child of God. I must do them all in that order before he will let me leave his room.

This last week he has finally realized that just becasue he is tucked into bed doesn't mean he has to stay there. Like clock work as soon as I shut his door he jumps out of bed runs to turn his light on and plays with his toys. I can hear him through the monitor so I get quite a kick out of listening to him. Usually an hour and a half later it is silent, so I go make sure he isn't sleeping on a pile of toys, retuck him in and turn out the lights again. It doesn't bother me in the least as long as he is having fun and eventually falls asleep.

Today after church I put him down for his nap and he was just bouncing off the walls in his room he just was not tired. Scott and I put a movie on in hopes that he would eventually fall asleep. An hour and a half later I went to check on him and he was sitting on his bed naked as a jay bird playing with his trucks. I am telling you this kid really keeps me on my toes and laughing on a daily basis.
